Learning to Read

JT has been learning to read both Chinese and English since summer. So far he has made some progress. I just keep doing this with him everyday. It is fun to see him learn. We have a bilingual Ocean Life poster on the wall. Sometimes, he likes to pretend to be a teacher and teaches his grandmother English words in the poster. Other times, he will run to me in great excitement and tell me that he can read the Chinese names of the animals in the poster. Of course, some are pronounced wrongly as some Chinese characters do look alike. e.g. ' 海豹' or seal is pronounced as ' 海的' and '河豚' or blowfish is pronounced as '阿豚'. But it is great to see him interested in learning.
