A Pair of Shoes for JT

I took a class to learn how to make shoes. It was fun even though it was a lot of work. In the workshop, we learned how to make a pattern out of a shoe mold. Then, we learned how to sew using the sewing machine.

It took quite a number of lessons before I was able to make the upper of a shoe. Here it is.



The second part of the class focused on how to shape it and attach it make the sole. After some pinning, shaping, glueing, a metal strip is put in the shoe to give it some support.
