Drawing Outdoor

Not that nothing happened during the last three months. In fact, I was tied up with housework and have no time to write something in the blog. Now that things are sort of back to normal, I guess it is best to share about the outdoor drawing event in Stanley last Sunday.

It is a community event with a goal to bring art to community. There are many participants drawing near the Murray Building in Stanley. Some are young artists being invited to HK from Russia and Eastern Europe. Some are local students.

We brought JT there so that he can get a taste of drawing outdoor and also in such a fun environment. In fact, it was his first time drawing outdoor.

This was his first sketch trying to capture the things he saw: the trees, the building, a person walking her dog....etc.

He tried to add some color to his painting half-way. However, it is proven to be a harder task than he could do because he sketched the people and the other details too small.

After two hours, he completed coloring the painting and handed it in to the organizing body. We did not tell him that it was a drawing competition. So we left after the event without waiting for the result.

He loved the experience and said he would like to come draw again.

I guess, that is all that matters. OT and I had a great time watching him draw. For me, he has gone a long way from being a baby to now being able to focus on something for two hours.
